For Presence, Ben Judd invited two clairvoyants to give a public demonstration as part of his contribution to the exhibition Stationed, curated by Rose Lejeune at Winchester House, London. Judd was seated in the audience, and one of the clairvoyants ‘read’ an aspect of his personal history. Judd genuinely participated in the activity yet was also aware of his position as an observer, and of how the act of videoing recontextualises what is experienced.
