For I Can and Cannot Live Without, Ben Judd filmed Morris dancers, an English folk dance dating back to the 15th century, in Putney, London. Like the trainspotters and amateur photographers in Judd’s earlier videos, the Morris dancers are an all-male group with their own rituals and codes. Judd added a voiceover of observations, alternating between “I can live without the way you…” and “I cannot live without the way you…”
